Activities
Along with the shows, during the Festival, there had been many indoor and outdoor activities in the Feshane ; an exhibition was opened including pictures drawn by children . Among the pictures that were exhibited was: the orthopedic disabled children group in TOFD Ataköy Centre, TOFD Yeşilköy Paintings Workshop, Bulgaria –visual acuity impaired, KKTC-hear impaired, Azerbaijan –orthopedic impaired, Russia-hear impaired, Ukraine –hear impaired , Mardin – fortunate TOÇEV children and the pictures of the Child Drawing Contest.
In the Feshane building additionally Public Associations and Organizations , the NGOs , the Federations and sponsor firms were keeping their visitors informed about activities meanwhile, apart from taking part in activities which the children enjoyed, they experienced the enthusiasm of the National Sovereignity and Child Festival. Sponsored by Turkey Jockey Club, 3 ponies were ready for increasing the childrens’ love for horses and bringing the theraphy help of animals into the agenda. children enriched the Festival by riding the pony and also Saba Mirel and Emir Ali Sadagiani came and cheered the children up by giving brief speeches about love for dogs and performed a show about the benefits of guide dogs. Whilst the speeches were being given, the groups of the Animation Action Team performed shows and the other activities were the most entertaining moments for the children who were among the attendants of the Festival and guests. 23rd April was the same day as the Easter Festival. 180 orthodox guests who were our foreign attendants were welcomed by excellency Barthelomeos in the Fener- Greek church.
In the Festival area , along with the activities aiming at entertainment , there were also health and eye check-ups for free supported by the Turkish Hearth Fund ‘s Professional team. Additionally the Vitamin-D Campaign was presented by the administrative province health ministry and the children were provided with vitamin D.
Sponsored by health team of the Turkish Red Crescent was exerting their great efforts to serve meanwhile collecting blood donations from tens of volunteers
